Our Heart, Our Hope, Our Healing
Our Mission: A Beacon of Hope
We understand that religious trauma can inflict profound wounds, creating barriers to self-acceptance, healthy relationships, and spiritual well-being. Our mission is to dismantle these barriers by creating safe and affirming spaces where LGBTQ+ individuals cans:
- Find Solace and Support: Connect with a diverse community of peers who share similar experiences, offering a powerful sense of belonging, validation, and understanding.
- Embark on a Journey of Healing: Participate in peer-led support groups, workshops, and individual sessions designed to foster emotional, spiritual, and psychological well-being.
- Reclaim Authenticity: Explore and embrace your true identity, free from judgment or the weight of past trauma, in a space that celebrates diversity and self-expression.
- Cultivate Resilience and Growth: Develop the tools, skills, and inner strength to navigate challenges, build fulfilling relationships, and create a life aligned with your authentic values and aspirations.

To Be Clear,
we are not a church, religious institution, denomination, nor are we associated or affiliated with any church, religious organization, denomination, or particular set of beliefs. Our founder, a retired bartender with a passion for community service, established Flaming for Jesus to address the very real harm caused by systemic oppression. While we acknowledge the importance of individual spiritual journeys, our work does not involve attempting to convert or challenge anyone’s religious or spiritual beliefs. Instead, we are dedicated to challenging the systems that have caused harm and further marginalization to the LGBTQ+ community. We are not religious officials, nor do we operate in any capacity connected to any religion or denomination.
