Nico Bonner, MHPS
Founder/Executive Director
Nico Bonner (she/her) is an African American lesbian committed to advocating for an inclusive connection between faith and the LGBTQ+ community. Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Nico pursued her academic career at the University of Houston, where she earned her B.A. in English-Creative Writing with a minor in Sociology. Currently residing in San Antonio with her wife, Jess, Nico founded FFJ on principles of love, acceptance, knowledge, and inclusivity.

Jessica Garza
Secretary/ Volunteer Coordinator
Jessica Garza (She/Her), is a proud lesbian and resident of San Antonio, along with her wife, Nico. Born in Baytown, Texas, Jess brings a wealth of passion and creative experience to Flaming for Jesus. Her journey of service began at a tender age when she eagerly dedicated her time to assisting her mother, a daycare teacher. At the age of 13, Jess's innate ability to connect with and nurture youth led her to manage and care for children, ultimately earning her the position of leading the after-school program at 16, where she lovingly taught children aged 1 to 13.
Dr. Janet Bonner
Ally in Community Consultant
Dr. Janet Bonner (she/her) is a Washington D.C. native who now calls Houston, Texas home. Her journey began in engineering at the Johnson Space Center, but the discovery of her true passion and calling redirected her path towards making a lasting and meaningful impact on the lives of children and families.
With over 17 years of dedicated service with the Knowledge is Power Program (KIPP), a nationwide network of public charter schools, Dr. Bonner has been a pillar of nurturing support and leadership.

Marketing Specialist (Ally)
As an ally and dedicated consultant for Flaming for Jesus, Ranie Good (she/her) leverages her extensive background in marketing, advertising, and new business development to contribute to the growth and stability of Flaming for Jesus.
Ranie's journey in Public Support began with the South Carolina Chapter of the American Red Cross, where she honed her skills in marketing, communications, coalition building, public relations, fundraising, and event planning.
